Announced at NAMM '25, the Mythos Argo Boost Deluxe takes the vintage-inspired tones of the original Argo and ups the ante with a few new tricks. The pedal was designed in collaboration with Mick Taylor (That Pedal Show), who was a vocal proponent of using the Argo purely as a clean boost. Now, players can access that uncompromised volume lift at the tap of a switch or combine it with the pedal’s signature octave-up fuzz. Inspired by classic C.O.B.-style circuits, the Argo Boost Deluxe offers a pronounced upper-octave character, an effect that truly shines above the ninth fret—particularly with a neck pickup. A dedicated clean blend knob ensures just the right amount of clarity, allowing the direct signal to remain present even under heavier fuzz settings. This versatile blend also makes the pedal more accommodating in a wide range of setups, whether it’s used solo or stacked with other gain stages.
