More about Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop" Acoustic & Electric Guitars
Although Epiphone's roots trace back to 1873, the company was famously bought by Gibson in 1957 and has since been manufactured under the same umbrella company.
While noted for offering widely more affordable instruments that are sometimes inspired by their parent company, Epiphone's new "Inspired by Gibson" collection of acoustic, acoustic-electric, and electric guitars offers an extremely wide array of instruments that feature genuine Gibson USA parts in Epiphone guitars.
All electric models in this collection include authentic Gibson Pickup Shop pickups, neck shapes taken directly from the Custom Shop, and period correct tailpiece, plus much more — while all acoustic models feature all solid wood/thermally aged Sitka spruce tops, period accurate neck/body shapes and bracing directly from Gibson Acoustic, and L.R. Baggs VTC pickup systems. All of the models, electric and acoustic, come with custom hard cases featuring the "Inspired by Gibson" logo on them, as well as different colored hardware and interiors depending on model.
