Fender has come out swinging in 2018 with the release of the Fender American Original Series guitar & basses. Announced January 16th, the latest offering from Fender is a new line of American-made electric basses and guitars.
Made to be period-accurate, the American Original Series showcases a time long passed with these beautiful recreations of the most iconic Fenders from the 50's through the 70's. The golden age of Fender gave rise to the most prolific names in music. The Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar, Jazzmaster, Jazz Bass and Precision Bass are all represented here in full vintage fashion.
Billed as the 'Best of both worlds', the American Original guitars are a distinct mix of old and new. Taking from decades of honing improvements, the series has newer switching technology along with a modern Fingerboard radii. These upgrades paired with classic appointments give you what Fender is enthusiastically calling a ' classic Fender vibe players have always loved about '50s, '60s and '70s Fender electric guitars and basses with distinct, modern features offering greater comfort, playability and best-in-class performance.'

To show off their vintage acumen, Fender made sure to include a host of fan favorite classic features. Vintage-style hardware, vintage neck shapes, body radii, tall frets, classic Fender colors, nitrocellulose lacquer finish and vintage-style cases give the legacy look and feel, while the original-spec pickups make them ring true that classic tone.
The new series will come in between $1799.99 to $2099.99 and will be produced at Fenders Corona California Facility.
